Training facility open house tonight

DAILY PRESS/GLADSTONE — Operating Engineers 324 will hold an open house at its Northern Michigan Training Facility tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. The Northern Michigan Training Facility is located at 802 Clark Drive.

The Gladstone and Rapid River schools are event sponsors. The event is open to all students and their families, as well as anyone interested in becoming an operating engineer. Contractors will be on site talking about jobs in the skilled trades and instructors will discuss the training program. There will be tours of the facility and a high-tech simulator for students to get a hands-on feel for what being an operating engineer is like.
