Operating Engineers 324 President named to Macomb/St. Clair Workforce Development Board
HOWELL, Mich. – Operating Engineers 324 President Ken Dombrow has been appointed to replace OE324 Labor-Management Director Lee Graham on the Macomb/St. Clair Workforce Development Board. Dombrow’s term begins immediately and ends Aug. 31, 2021.
“I’m truly honored to serve on the Macomb/St. Clair Workforce Development Board, which does outstanding work connecting people to good-paying jobs, and I look forward to helping drive our local economy forward,” Dombrow said. “I’m excited to showcase all the great careers in construction and the skilled trades here in Macomb and St. Clair counties. Michigan offers tremendous opportunities for skilled, trained professionals who can build Michigan’s 21st-Century economy, and I’m eager to help men and women connect with good jobs so they can care for their families and save for the future.”
Dombrow will serve as the representative of labor on the workforce development board.
Dombrow became president of OE324 in 2016, leading the union whose 14,000 members build, maintain, operate and service roads, bridges, and other critical infrastructure throughout Michigan. Before he became president, Dombrow was OE324’s Financial Secretary.
The Macomb/St. Clair Workforce Development Board coordinates and provides quality, comprehensive workforce development, employment, and training services. The board is made up of professionals like Dombrow and others who assist people with career and business development. The board aims to prepare job seekers for in-demand careers and help employers connect with those job seekers who have the right skills.
