Operating Engineers 324 Endorses Tim Greimel for Congress
Democrat Has a Long History Fighting To Rebuild Michigan’s Infrastructure, Protecting Wages From Attacks
AUBURN HILLS –– Operating Engineers 324 today endorsed Tim Greimel for the open 11st Congressional District seat because of his long-standing support of rebuilding our infrastructure, working people and protecting wages.
Greimel, a three-term state Representative, is running for the Democratic nomination in the 11th Congressional District including Wayne and Oakland counties that is being vacated by Congressman Dave Trott (R-Birmingham).
“With the state of our infrastructure in Michigan and nationwide, we need partners in Congress who understand how to get things done. Operating Engineers 324 knows we can count on Tim Greimel to lead the charge for critical infrastructure projects and make sure that our skilled tradesmen and tradeswomen are paid fairly in the process,” said Operating Engineers 324 President Ken Dombrow.
Greimel was born and raised in Oakland County in a UAW family. He is the former House Democratic Leader and member of the Oakland County Board of Commissioners.
“Tim Greimel has always stood with us and for working people when their wages have been under attack in Michigan. OE 324 knows he’s the right choice to represent the people of Wayne and Oakland County in Congress. Tim won’t just be another vote for working families. He’ll be the leader we need,” said OE 324 Business Manager Douglas W. Stockwell.
Greimel said he is ready to partner with OE 324 when he’s elected to Congress.
“I’m honored to have the support of Operating Engineers 324. As someone who was raised in a union household, I have made it my mission to fight for working men and women in Michigan. In Congress, I will make rebuilding our infrastructure and investing in skilled job training top priorities,” said Tim Greimel.
